Shotgun Snap-Loaded Shells Bugged

Recommended Posts

We all know, that the shotgun sometimes deals the dmg it should deal, and sometimes it just fires peas.

Snaploaded shells have less muzzle velocity, and thus, deal less damage!

I just wanted to share the info with you guys!

thanks goes to Gews for telling the reason, and TheSheLLHD for checking!

If you think, this is the wrong section, then let this thread drown. ;)

P.S.

Happy hunting evryone!

Hey, I liked it. Very informative, and the use of clones like that makes sure things are consistent and scientific :)

Would like to chat with ShellHD and pick his brain. :)

Is it logical to reduce the muzzle velocity of a break action shotgun compared to a pump action or semi auto? The breach is closed on each gun so where should the pressure go that out the front? Isn't rather barrel length the factor to muzzle velocity?

nono.

when you load the shells with the snaploader, the velocity sinks.

Just by loading with a tool, the velocity, compared to load manually, sinks.

but of course, a pump-action-shotgun should do more dmg, that's clear.

last bump to warn the others.

throw the snaploaders away right now, they're useless.

when you find some, take the ammo out, but leave the snappy behind ;)

AHA !

thanks for that. The other day i killed someone with the shotty from aprox. 30-40 meters, straight headshot, booth rounds fired. DED.

I "snaploaded" and creept on the other dude...shot him from 10-20 meters, nothing happend. Had to use the axe to get him.

That was so confusing.

I tip my hat to you good sire and throw some beans in your General direction.

I love you IrishRoy (like more than beans) ... this thread gives me info and happiness to avoid dying.

I use a sawn off as a kinda sidearm / close room clearing tool so now I know to just load it manually.

@Bläcklaibl: Sind grüne raincoats auch ok als Novize, oder sind orange pflicht? :>

i really like to see the sawn off getting buffed (moar dmg and better accuracy, less space needed). Machete being added.... Rocket says, that he wants, that people can also hang their guns on the backpacks...

this reminds me of "the book of eli".

Shotgun in backpack, machete, too...
