How to autorun in DayZ

I see so many people that complain about the lack of autorun in this game.

There is an easy way to create one yourself.

1. Launch DayZ through STEAM.

2. Once you are in a game n want to start running do the following:

• Hold down your movement key (W)
  
• While doing this, open your STEAM overlay (Shift+Tab)
  
• Release your movement key once the STEAM overlay is open
  
• You should see your character is still running while the overlay is open
  
• Close the overlay & your character should still be running
  

3. You can do anything that doesn't hinder movement such as steering with your mouse, free look around, etc...

2) insert bic pen lid between w & e

3) remove pen lid when done

It should also be noted that to stop auto-running you simply tap 'W' once again. It's also a wise idea to change your Steam overlay hotkey from "SHIFT and TAB" to the tilda key ( ~ ). Reason: tab can continually scroll in-game and makes menu and gear interface glitchy.

I just stick some folded paper into the space between my button. My friends use various coins... Also, folded paper would work with literally any keyboard in the entire world that has ever existed.

I'd say finding a way to hold your key so you can use the time spent holding it for something else while still managing to travel across the massive world is the opposite of lazy. This would also mean that anyone who DOESN'T do it is lazy.... You sir, are lazy.

That. Of course you will be depended on your cats mood and we all know how cats are, right? So while a sweet fluffy purring cat on your keyboard is a really nice addition to those boring walks through the loney woods it is not that of a reliable technique, so a penny will just do the job. :)
