DayZ - FPS lag?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I've had DayZ for long time now and had no issues. But since 1.7.5.1 came out,

my FPS has dropped a lot. Before the patch, I had about 40 to 60 frames per second near cities, now about 20-40.

Also my FPS in cities have dropped a lot, it was about 30+, now it's 15-25. It would be nice to almost max DayZ again,

so could anyone help me?

My Rig:

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition 3.2GHz

AsRock 880-GM LE

ASUS GTX 560 Ti OC 1GB (830MHz Core Clock/2004MHz Memory Clock)

8GB A-Data 1333MHz RAM

120GB Intel 330-Series SSD (for OS)

256GB Western Digital HDD (for games)

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM.

I dropped frame rate too.

I was getting 14 FPS in the country and 9 FPS in the cities.

After the patch I was getting 9 in the country and 5 in the cities.

The only thing that helped was dropping the resolution down to 1280 x 720.

i got a new laptop, Asus k55vj-sx015h:

CPU: i7-3630QM Ivy Bridge ,2.4-3.4Ghz.

GPU: Geforce 635m 2gb vram (which has same performance has a 555m)

Ram: 6gb 1600 MHZ

Hard Drive: 500GB Sata 5400 rpm

Resolution:1366x768

ive already played arma 2 free, to test my fps, high settings i get around 45-55 fps, and i wanna know if i can play dayz standalone with medium graphics.

Your video card might be a bit old.

But the mod worked perfectly before the patch, and my GTX 560 Ti runs BF3 maxed at solid 40fps. :|

Everyone (I think) is experiencing more lag in this patch. Probably has to do with all the new things they added.

There's really nothing you can do, except maybe optimize your game a little more. Lower your video settings

and set up some launch parameters for ArmA 2 OA via Steam if you already haven't.

Use these parameters: -cpuCount=<number of CPU cores> -maxMem=2047 -maxVRAM=2047 -winxp

That should boost your FPS a little bit more. But like a said, there's really nothing we can do.

Edit: A common mistake a see people make is setting there render distance higher than 1000 when playing DayZ. This is because the max DayZ render distance is 1000, so making it higher will only cause unnecessary lag.
