    • Welcome to DayZ Summer Isles Server name: Summer Isles AU/NZ | 1PP | SURVIVAL  Map: Deer Isle / SummerChernarus Addon Gameplay: 1PP / No SafeZones Platform: PC Location: AU/NZ   Our server is aimed to be a difficult survival experience played as the game should be. With a bunch of cool new places added along with some mods that i feel fit the theme and immersion of the servers style. The best part of DayZ is the interactions held by players not all the extra AI stuff or Traders in game. Server details below 👇    - high performance server specs - NO MAP, so you will need to orientate with a compass and a map found in game. - All packaged food has been reduced to near nothing, Animals are a must for survival. A few more animals added. - Zen’s Sleep Mod - The need to Sleep - Better fishing - Zeroy’s - Daytime cycle: x4 - Nighttime cycle: x10 ( Dark Nights ) - 20 + custom locations have been added. - Many unique base locations added. - 3 entire new city builds. - Custom Trader village has been added with no safe zane ( hoping to eventually make this a mutually accepted safe zone ) - There are no traders here. This area is intended for P2P trades within the community like a meetup point. I have added a notice board as you enter to leave notes on the wall, acting as a marketplace listing board.  - Notes will have longer persistence. - Vehicles - Single seat helis / Trolley karts / boats spawning in game. Helis and boats very limited in secluded spawn areas.     • Hm, by the way, I think it would be fair enough to give access to the DayZ Frostline to those ones who had DayZ Livonia because of in future patch Livonia became free coz who needs that "amazing soundtrack". I'd went mad from that sounds and simply replaced that nonsense music with better sounds. Lord if I wished to be moread I'd took the fruty loop and made some same nonsense sounds but thanks I have enough headache in real life...
    • I think the current melee combat is a lazy and is like a placeholder, and i believe it should be more skill based and less who got stunlocked first. Changes I would make: Hold block that doesnt force player to move back( lose 1/100 stamina per sec) Kick function - Breaks block of other player allowing for a hit and has a micro stun effect allowing for 1 hit if they are using a two handed weapon but if it is a 1 handed they can potentially block it. Heavy Hit - uses alot of stamina from the attacker but if successful they both lose alot of stam if it is blocked Shove function - Not be as usefull against player but should stun infected because they are annoying. If player runs out of stamina the next attack blocked will result in them dropping their weapon. Different weapons(twohanded) will be better at blocking such as taking less stamina off a successful block, and some will be worse(onehanded). Well placed attacks such as the head should do 50% more shock damage, and leg hits should break bones. Also please remove the planted feet allow players to move around when they have their melee primed. Thanks for reading im sure they wont even look at this at all because when have they ever. Bye
    • Right now the helmet hit box is basically a huge circle around the players head with no weak points, i dont believe it should be like that you should be rewarded for a well placed shot in the face where the helmet texture doesnt cover it. I really dont understand why it is like this and  there is face shield in the game yet it purley cosmetic? What is that about? Id love to hear your justification for why it is like this.  
    • How's it going everyone, appreciate any help! So basically I modded the files for Expansion AI (it kinda works but is jacked up) So I wanted to install Dolphin AI bc it seems a lot easier to mod, but the problem is the modded Expansion AI settings are going to clash with the new AI MOD that requires a default Expansion AI. I was going to just wipe out Expansion AI and redownload/subscribe then I realized it would delete all the bases and stuff off my server lol. So I've been searching for a default/unedited file and settings for Expansion AI. If anyone has the file/settings unaltered and wouldn't mind helping out I would owe you big time. I thought I had a back up of them, but after searching for hours I've determined I guess I didn't lol.
    • Bad luck - that's all it was. Its the same type of scenario: "ill wait until its waaay cheaper or free". It may take a day, a year, 5 years or even never. You never know.
    • i made this decision cuz didn't know it will be free and this information was relesed few days later , simple  would you pay for something today knowing it will be free in next week? i don't think so
    • 1) Infected - this is not planned but I will note it down in suggestions.
      2) Night sky - my assumption is: While real-life night skies are pitch black, in games, it's tricky to replicate that without making it too dark to see anything. We tweak things to keep it playable and give enough contrast for navigation. Also, our eyes adjust differently in-game. Plus haing different screens etc.
