Arm bands(Ways to tell who's who)

Seems like a lot of great feedback. Hope we can see it in future! :)

Arm bands(Ways to tell who's who)

You know it's a great idea, dude.
  3. So, me and my buddies have been in situations where it's pretty much: "DUDE IS THAT YOU? IS THAT YOU? FUCK I CANT TELL HES WEARING THE SAME THING" Which is typically the Military outfit. I thought it would be pretty neat if we could simply add this effect. Let us color bandages or some type of cloth and wrap it around our arms. We could use the green, blue, red, or whatever color pens and color in the bandages or something with an option to wrap them on our left/right arm or whatever so that we can tell who's who. I just thought it would be a neat idea. It can even get kind of exstensive in other forms. It would be kind of cool to have ways to tell clans vs clan, like, banners or something. Thoughts?

    Spawn Suggestion ( with friends)

That's what I was suggesting. No spawn point - just random and maybe even make it less than or equal to 3 people. I'm not trying to change any form of gameplay. The fact that we can spawn randomly together SHOULDN'T break any other aspects of the game. In fact, I think it may even make the game a lot more enjoyable by allowing us to quickly get back together to start another adventure. It's not about knowing where I am anymore, it's about the fact that we'll both spawn on opposite ends of the coast and spend majority of our game time just trying to meet each other. I was just trying to figure out a reasonable way for players to be with each other without taking away from the game. For me, atleast, the game quickly became less about the zeds and more about surviving the other players. I know that us getting to each other is "part" of the game, but it quickly becomes old running for 45 minutes just to meet. Or even worse, one of us dying on the way there as two others meet and the third dying and respawning even further away. Again, I'm really not looking for a way to break the actual atmosphere of the game because I understand both sides of the arguements.

    Spawn Suggestion ( with friends)

Yeah, I totally hear you on this. I wish there was a way for us to figure out a system that allows the more experienced/vet players to just jump into it a little easier. I'll just say this : I got two new friends to play last night and I was all the way in the North Airfield - I literally spent the entire night trying to get to them to only have them die(separetely) 2-3x. It wasn't exactly an enjoyable night for any of us. After hours of running in different directions because I began running east - their start point when they respawned was west. Ultimately, everyone ended up logging off after just hours of just running. However, I still do understand the hardcore aspect. I don't want to ruin that, which is why I thought this system may allow for the possibility of avoiding all of this while still keeping the true nature of the game. I don't know.. can't have it all, I guess.

    Spawn Suggestion ( with friends)

I get the whole isolation aspect. What I am trying to get at though is the fact that a lot of times you -need- 2-3 hours of gameplay. I know after the first or second time, I'm over that, and I don't want to spend it searching for my friend only to have him have to log off, or vice versa. I can see your point, though. I don't want this to effect ACTUAL gameplay. Ultimately, I don't think it does.

    Spawn Suggestion ( with friends)

That's probably fine, too. I just like the idea so that we can get towards the gameplay, asap. I am actively trying to get people to play and they wouldn't get it until they spent atleast a couple of hours within the game itself. However, starting with me, I'd be able to show them the ropes. Generally speaking, this will shouldn't effect the overall gameplay and would probably be a positive thing in the long run. More opinions, guys. :)
  8. I get the hardcore aspect of the game, and I love it. However, I do happen to have a suggestion. I'v realized that I can't play the game with less than 2-3 hours of playtime, realistically. Time just flies while playing this game but that's a good thing. When wanting to play with friends, I spend majority of the time trying to get to my friends and I understand that too. A simple solution, possibly : Let *NEW* characters of friends( maybe a party) spawn together. If the character is NOT fresh, then none of this applies. So what does that mean? Continue to make the spawn "random" for a fresh character. What happens? It doesn't change any of the realistic run times and allows us to play with friends quicker. Any thoughts? I think this could help with the frustration of newer players to show them around and even be a possible addition long-term. I know it's difficult playing and having a friend who just bought the game not really know his way around. I know I'd respawn/kill myself to start with a friend. I really want this game to progress and I'm actively thinking of ways to make it more enjoyable yet keep the hardcore/realism aspect. Looking forward to hear your thoughts, thanks,
