I know I post a lot about this, but I just want a simple yes or no with some explanation as to why. And possibly what fps I'd run on. These are pretty pathetic specs, but it's a brand new laptop. So it's worth a try.

2nd Generation Intel Core i3-2328M (2.2GHz)
500gb Hard Drive
4gb DDR3 SDRAM
Windows 8

Intel HD Graphics 3000

Again, lowest settings I can go to. I just want to play the game and enjoy it.

Also, I know there's a thread for this, but I don't get very good answers.

I very much doubt it.

This link shows a very similar spec (Intel Graphics 3000) running arma at 29fps, DayZ is a lot more intensive that stock Arma II so it will run worse than that - I wouldn't find it playable at all (Especially since anything under 30FPS is bad enough, this test was at 1366x768.

"Oh! That was bracing. They don't like it when you shoot at them. I worked that out myself."

Is the gameplay in the video the lowest possible graphics? I'm willing to play on any settings so long as I can play. And you should know, I am very much used to playing games on low fps (Minecraft ran on 15 fps on the lowest settings on my old laptop). So if I got say, 20-30 FPS steady, I'd be happy.

I heard the standalone will be a bit less demanding, so what do you think for that?

We don't know what minimum reqs. are needed so we don't know the answer yet :)

Friend even if you will be able to play it so it will be 10-15 fps and in dayz you need to have at least 24fps+ to even try to kill player/zombie.
That will not be enyoable cause you will propably lose all gunfights and stuff.
I say to you get a better PC. I heard that 500 euros and you can get a PC for medium settings in DayZ and thats 60+fps on medium.
Like i said DayZ or even anygame with less than 24fps will not be enjoyable.

@sorry for double posting :( my bad

I guess it also depends on the server.

Can I run it?

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M, 2 GB VRAM
Memory: 4GB DDR3

amazing how many people want to run this on laptops...

well, don't expect any high settings, you might get medium if you're lucky, but in the cities, it'll need to be on low (probably with reduced resolution as well) to be anything like playable

You will run it low low low very low maybe even not with stable 30 fps.

The HD7770 would be good but you CPU will slow down the game a bit. I think DayZ maybe will run low maybe medium if youre lucky and defrag your PC.

You will run it low low low very low maybe even not with stable 30 fps.

Just added 4GB RAM, so now total memory 8GB. Doesn't makes it better, does it?

And I would not have a problem to play on low graphic settings.

  • Intel Core i3 380M processor.
  • 2.53GHz processor speed.
  • 4GB DDR3 RAM memory.
  • 640GB hard drive.
  • NVIDIA GeForce G 310M graphics card with 512MB memory.
Just want to know if it can run it at a smooth fps, and if so what graphics settings.

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply

How about this? Will it also be able to run the standalone version of DayZ? (I know there are currently no spec list, but still, I am not looking for a definitive answer, but I have high hopes for this build.)
