although it might seem to be unrealisitc to have such a form of communication, i think it does implement some realistic features...

if you team up in a zombie apocalypse, i dont think you run off and dont tell anyone where you are and when you are back. so you cant tell your friends where to meet you, if you want to play a while when no one is online.

also near field comm seems better solved that way. i wouldnt talk loud enough to hear me, well, a hundred meters or so, if im going to tell my partner with a sniper rifle just next to me where to shoot at.

i'd say it is as useful and legit as the ingame communication is crappy. if it can be fixed with personal radios, thats the best solution i think - until then, use teamspeak wisely, ask for meeting point and stay quiet until you're close

If this was ever gonna be a topic on the top, I'd suggest toggling the in-game talk function on permanently, so the only way to disable it is to disconnect your mic.
