Blodzilla 1 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Hi guys,I have never really had any fps problems in any games... Today I bought ARMA 2: CB from the steam store and it ran fine in the basic ARMA 2 maps, but in any Dayz server, I have horrible fps problems. I was hoping if anyone could give me suggestions on fixing this problem.Note: I have the same amount of fps (~10) in all graphic settings whether is be very high, or low.ThanksCOMPUTER SPECS.Operating SystemMS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1CPUAMD Phenom X3 8400 50 °CToliman 65nm TechnologyRAM5.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 334MHz (5-5-5-15)MotherboardECS MCP61PM-GM (Socket AM2 ) 40 °CGraphicsAcer AL2216W (1680x1050@60Hz)AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (ATI AIB) 46 °CHard Drives298GB Western Digital WDC WD32 00AAJS-22VWA SCSI Disk Device (ATA)Optical DrivesOptiarc DVD RW AD-7203A ATA DeviceDTSOFT Virtual CdRom DeviceAudioRealtek High Definition AudioADDITIONAL COMPUTER SPECS.OS Name Microsoft Windows 7 Home PremiumVersion 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601Other OS Description Not AvailableOS Manufacturer Microsoft CorporationSystem Name xxxxxxxxxxxSystem Manufacturer GatewaySystem Model GT5670System Type x64-based PCGraphics card: RADEON HD 5870Processor AMD Phenom™ 8400 Triple-Core Processor, 2100 Mhz, 3 Core(s), 3 Logical Processor(s)BIOS Version/Date Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG, 1/18/2008SMBIOS Version 2.4Windows Directory C:\WindowsSystem Directory C:\Windows\system32Boot Device \Device\HarddiskVolume2Locale United StatesHardware Abstraction Layer Version = "6.1.7601.17514"User Name MorganBlodgett\Morgan BlodgettTime Zone Pacific Daylight TimeInstalled Physical Memory (RAM) 5.00 GBTotal Physical Memory 5.00 GBAvailable Physical Memory 2.91 GBTotal Virtual Memory 10.0 GBAvailable Virtual Memory 4.30 GBPage File Space 5.00 GBPage File C:\pagefile.sys Edited July 14, 2012 by Blodzilla
Streaforce 7 Posted July 14, 2012 If the graphic settings do not change anything for you then your cpu is not able to run DayZ (keep in mind that arma is really cpu heavy ) so buy a nice intel quad core and you should be fine.

razorman 15 Posted July 14, 2012 Any settings u adjust in singleplayer are allmost irrelevant as THE SERVER determines all graphical settings except for resolution, this game is a CPU hog not graphics, u need at least a 3ghz quad to get the best from it & i'm not talking AMD here people. Also the highest ping/lagger on the server will cause others to drop frames, find servers with pings below 50, stay away from servers with a ping any higher.
