DayZ on consoles

I'm going to be very interested to see the console communities response to what dayz is like when it is released.. most may vomit on there shoes at how hard it is when they first try it  B)

But seriously, are there any informations about future console versions out there? In particular about how does it mix with the PC version (if any) and what the functions/features will be for each plattforms strength?

 

Best thing you can do as of right now is wait. I have a feeling that console versions of DayZ will be very interesting, (as I am an Xbox One gamer along my PC) but it won't compare to the PC version but it's all about preference!

I think the pc games are better but I don't like buying a game that looking at the requirments My computer should play just fine and I buy the game and then have to adjust settings and graphics and still have issues. with that being said, I no longer own a pc I am straight console now.

I was unsure about the next gen consoles myself, but i recently got a cheap PS4, and is a beautiful machine, in fact it feels more like a PC than a console.

DayZ isn't the best game to make that argument for because even on the best of computers this game can dip way down in FPS, i have this game currently and have sli 970s, but i want it on console as well because i know more people that game on console.

None at all man :( still same answers from devs for over 7-8 months since the announcement! The console prototype will be Q1 this year (only for the developers tho) then will probably have to wait for a while.... Although it was xbox who messed up as the guy said last June "we'll have DayZ within the year on game preview" we've ended up with Ark, although its a good game id prefer to be playing DayZ!

Q1 is such a general time frame and it bothers the mess out of me, its quarter one now devs.. it'd be relieving if we could get a new date/timeframe for the release on the preview program. It doesn't have to be an exact date, but atleast give us the month you would best estimate the release or something... anything would be awesome. Thanks devs, I can't wait to finally play with my people that are trapped on consoles lol.

A quarter encompasses a lot of days.  When the roadmap says Q1 it does not mean it will be available on Jan 1st.  You also have to consider the console version is very low in priority considering the engine isn't done yet.

 

They also said:

which does not suggest it would be available for console during this period.

Guys you must listen to the words spoken ... Prototype means IN DEV , not public access , so we will most likely have to wait months after q1 to see PUBLIC access to the console version ... Also , since there is so muchh misinformation in this one thread , the console prototype is for PS4 ONLY, it (Xbox one dayz) HAS NOT BEEN OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED BY THE DEVS AS BEING WORKED ON YET , all they said was that "if sales for the ps4 version of dayz is successful we will look at moving it to the Xbox one" , the Xbox one preview guy jumped the gun on that small confirmation alone and announced it far too early based on earlier estimates of the "console prototype" being released in quarter one .

So to put it into a couple good bulletins:

1) Xbox one version was never confirmed by devs , just assumed that it would be created if the ps4 version was successful

2)" prototype " means the developers will be tweaking it in house and not out in the public alpha player base

3) Xbox one preview guy jumped the gun based on assumptions , although im sure Bohemia by Now has contacted Microsoft at least relaying the possibility of Dayz reaching Xbox preview if Dayz ps4 is a success.
