Make sure your system is not infected.

I suggest trying a scan with malwarebytes too, after you do the AVG one.

go to your start menu (low-left side of the screen) and in the "run" field type "cmd".

you will see the comand prompt application, right click it and select "run as administrator"

once you see it open type "sfc /scannow" and press enter.

wait for it to finish, it will take a few minutes

and also, same as before in an elevated comand promot windows (elevation means that you ran it with administrator rights, as i explained it above) you should (read: need) to type the following commands

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

as last resort, if you are still unable to repair your files, you have the obvious option of repairing/reinstalling windows using your BOOTABLE cd/flash drive

good luck!

keep us updated with your progress, i will check on this thread and try to help you as much as i can

Hi, I'm a computer technician by trade.

What version of Windows are you running?

What are your computer's basic specs?

Such as Laptop/Desktop/Mobile, CPU model, RAM model/size in GB, Disk configurations for the disk(s) containing Windows and the disk(s) containing the game data?

Are you using any extra launch options when running the game?

Have you updated Windows to the latest updates?

Are your device drivers up to date?

Do you run any antivirus when launching the game?

Is this a shared computer with multiple user accounts?

Are you the administrator of this system, or have access to administrator rights?

Ok those extra dism commands only work on Windows 8 and up.

Try navigating in explorer to each of those files and checking if they're digitally signed by Microsoft in their properties.
