DayZ is kidding me, HELP

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

4 Days ago i bought DayZ Standalone @Steam.

I downloaded it, installed it, and started it.

-> What happend? NOTHING

My status jumps from online to ' DayZ ' and a few seconds later I'm just online again, like in this Video.

There is no failure notification or smth like this.

Dont advise me to use the Search-Function, because every Problem is fixed, but not this one.

Sorry for my english, it's not this good as yours.

What I already tried:

Reinstalling the Game

Verifying the Cache

Deleting AMD Evolved, Raptr, etc

Installing Frame Network 4.5.2

Anti-Virus is turned out.

Please stay serious, guys. Thanks, Krawalski

Try to start the game via the exe in the installation-folder. Run the exe as administrator.

Hi there!

I'm no expert at dayz launch issues but this may have something to do with an anti-virus or firewall you have on.

I know that the battleye anti hack software that Dayz uses can sometimes cause clashes with firewalls.

I also know you have it turned off, but do make sure no other program is running a firewall.

Also from my limited knowledge of modems and networking, there is a chance that you may not have the correct ports open

If I try this, failure notification pops up.

' The program could not started correctly (0xc000007b) '

Edit: Nope, nothing happens without my Firewall..

Well if you have a really good firewall it can stop a lot it shouldnt.

It won't hurt to try it without it on, if it doesn't work, just slap it back on

okay. 3 questions.

1. When you launch from desktop, do you have atleast one "dayz logo" appear in your taskbar?

2. Is your directx upto date?

3. What operating system are you running?

Mate, I don't think it's something network related, because his game didn't even start. I'm no expert, but maybe you fucked up your registry somehow, 0xc000007b is mostly registry related.

Please try to update C++ Redistribution Package and directX.

Maybe worth a shot too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cz7FM0-djlA

Edit: I googled a bit, this guy with similar problem reeinstalled his OS, dunno if this is an option for you: http://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/2r0ekj/dayz_0xc000007b_error/

Edit2: What OS do you have?

Your not using any Io-bit products because if i had anything besides advanced systems care through them seems to block day z startup for whatever reason. If not could be a similar program blocking it

Hey, i've also been asked to ask you if you have Directx 9 installed as Dayz does not use 11. Do try this as in the past my directx didnt work and spent days trying to play a game that was a couple years old and wouldnt on 11

Oh..... it's not YOUR video... it's like the video.... sorry.... rookie mistake on my part :-p

Have you tried the solution on the video caption?

And yes you can have multiple directx installed. I recommend doing 9 and 11

It should be either dx9, c++ distribution package, or Microsoft .NET framework. If the exe isn't responding when you try to launch I would try and find a download for c++ and .NET framework first, and only try and install dx9 after that, if the first 2 don't work.

These are typically the route cause of most exe related issues. Best of luck.

Make sure you have both DayZ.exe & DayZ_BE exe in your DayZ folder.

Run both Steam & DayZ as Admin.

Re BE : Uninstall the broken Windows update “KB3004394″ (enter this without the quotes in the window’s search bar at the top) by following this guide:

I already installed both of them but a failure notification appears at the ending of installing Dx9..
