Attachment Ideas

Some ideas weapon attachments to add in/add onto certain weapons:

Sporter 22:

-Should be able to use the same suppressor the M4 does.

-Fire Selector: Makes the weapon capable of firing fully automatically or in semi automatic.

-Reflex Sight: A modified gunsight with a more open sight picture for easier close quarters aiming.

SKS:

-Magazine Release: When attached the rifle may use 30 round AKM magazines but cannot load 10 rounds in without mag like before.

-Bump Fire stock: When attached the gun will fire in "full auto mode" but the full auto fire will recoil ridiculously hard and slower firing rate than AKs.

Steyr AUG:

-Top Rail: Can be added in place of the rifle scope, allows M4 sights to be added.

-LMG barrel: Makes the gun heavier and longer, but more accurate and stable in full auto.

-Carbine barrel: Makes the gun shorter and lighter, but less accurate and recoil harder.

-Standard barrel: Makes weapon function as is.

-M203: 40mm underbarrel grenade launcher.

M4A1:

-M16 barrel: Longer but makes gun more accurate.

-Colt Commando barrel: Makes gun shorter but less accurate.

-M203: 40mm underbarrel grenade launcher.

-Tritium Sights: Iron sight attachment, glows in low light conditions.

M1911, FNX and CR75:

-Laser sight: Attached in place of flashlight, puts a visible red dot on target to assist aiming.

They are making the guns as they are in real life.. So doing that is not really gonna happen.

You can do all of these things with the real guns and find select fire 10/22, external magazine fed SKS rifles etc.

Most of that stuff is not readily available in real life or requires specific tools.

 

 

-Colt Commando barrel: Makes gun shorter but less accurate.

 

CAR-15 barrels are roughly the same length as M4 barrels. It is also a pain in ass to detach and install barrels to the upper receiver of a M4 upper. Unless you want to swap the entire upper, but then you have a fixed carry handle from a CAR-15 and no accessory rail.

 

-M16 barrel: Longer but makes gun more accurate.

 

Not comparable with a M4 buffer due to different gas tube length

 

 

-Top Rail: Can be added in place of the rifle scope, allows M4 sights to be added.

 

You can't just file off a fixed scope on an AUG and glue or screw a rail. AUGA3s with rails are planned however.

 

 

-LMG barrel: Makes the gun heavier and longer, but more accurate and stable in full auto.

 

AUG HBARs are already planned.

 

 

-Fire Selector: Makes the weapon capable of firing fully automatically or in semi automatic.

 

Not common at all.

 

Tritium Sights: Iron sight attachment, glows in low light conditions.

 

You can't just paint Tritium to sights like glow in the dark paint.

Plastic junk seen at American gunshows not popular elsewhere.

AUG HBARs are already planned.

The scope rail will actually be an attachment to the AUG, and the HBAR/CQB barrels will also be attachments for the AUG. They aren't going to be separate weapons.

No reflex sight. If you mean something like this:

They are fragile and not waterproof. They belong to COD.

An eotech woud be much better.

 

Something as simple as a foregrip for ak, m4 and mp5 rail handguard be a great addition.

I for one am for the grenade launcher because the current state of the throw item in-game is so inconsistent that when using a grenade you have a 50/50 chance that you are using against yourself.

Sporter 22:

I believe for realism sake it should have it's own suppressor, you can't just slap on a 5,56mm Suppressor on a .22

Fire Selectors even in the US are rare for sporters and require specialist permissions to use one, not something that every joe has access to

IF it featured a rail attachment I'd certainly be okay with it using the American Red Dot Sights like the CompM4

 

SKS

Your thinking of the Chinese branded Norinco Type 56 SKS which had options for detachable magazine, the one featured in-game I'd hazard a guess as being primarily a Romanian M56 or actual russian SKS

Bump Fire stocks are not seen anywhere else outside of the US and would probably be classified as illegal to own

 

Steyr AUG

Already as many have said, it's recieving some of these additions and will only be featured as one weapon.

 

M4A1

It's already got an assload of attachments for it, do we really need anymore

 

M1911, CR75, FNX45

Laser sights are often impractical unless a servicemen is wearing NVG's and "civilian" models are often only used for zeroing purposes.

I would be as well BUT only if they made it function like how you would some real world grenade launchers, you have to account for distance, windage and angle of the shot in order to hit anything. Plus the grenades can only explode past 40 meters or at a certain distance AND they would need to be rare. Only two "attachment" grenade launchers I could reliably see are the GP-30 and the M203

Models for those were made awhile ago but haven't been implemented yet for several coding and animation reasons.

 

As for the M4A1; yes, there's far more they could do with it, like an actual shortdot combat sight (preferably an EOTECH) and an AN/PEQ-15, for which there is already a model in the game files. Foregrips would also be pretty nice.

 

Tritium as the OP suggested isn't really necessary with the red dot optics and BUIS we have, and if they add any SBR/M16 type ARs they're most likely going to be a new gun entirely, so they are pretty much out of the equation.
