Radios in Cars

Recommended Posts

What about using a radio in the V3S? What if there was a chance of there being a radio in the vehicle, and a chance if it works. If it does not work, maybe you would need to fix it (maybe with screwdriver, batteries, etc.)? This would give great role playing opportunities and allow some players to communicate with others easily while driving. Maybe these radios would be able to communicate with walkie-talkies. I don't know, I just think that this would be a really cool feature in the V3S, but maybe not all vehicles. Probably just big trucks and police cars (if added).

I like the idea of expanding on radios and communicating with people you aren't in direct contact with. It'd be fun to drive around and hear a small network of people yaking on the radio.

Yup love it. Maybe even to expand on that, they spawn with a CB radio but it can removed and as long as you have a car battery you could make it work. Would be nice to set one up in your base.

A repairable two-way radio may encourage folks to actually use the vehicles that they find, as opposed to hoarding and hiding them.

Now that I think about it, it may be interesting to add electrical fuses to the game. A blown fuse could disable the headlights, or the windshield wipers, producing a greater likelihood of a crash at night, or in the rain, respectively. Also, a fuse would be required in order to get the radio to work.
