Amazing .51 Experience

Recommended Posts

So I hadn't played the .51 in stable till today, when I did it was amazing. So this is what happened: (in hardcore mode)
A friend and I had played and logged off in the trees NE of Cherno. when I played today my friend wasn't on so I headed to that snowy mountain on the SE coast shoreline. When I was there I had found a player, he was looting and getting gear because he didn't have much things, I saw him before he saw me and I said "hey buddy, behind you!" (this was hardcore mode) he looked and panicked and wanted to run (this player had a bayonet, and a purple backpack) anyways I said "if you value your life you will cooperate and wont try anything, and you will stay alive." he had no mic but he ended up getting on the ground, the dude wasn't talking, he wasn't really reacting or responding to what I was saying, so I turned on direct communication again, raised my magnum and said "I'm really sorry about this." I put a bullet in his head, all was silent. I didn't touch his corpse at all, but simply climbed the mountain and waited for my friend.

Time passed, my friend had showed, we were on the road no more than 10 meters from the mountain, my friend had just went and drunk water to get hydrated, when we were on the road and my friend was talking I said "shut up" he said "what?" I cut him off and said "SHUT UP.." I heard the faint sound of a engine that was growing fast, I said in a half whisper half scream voice "get down, car!!" my friend and I went prone, no more than 5 feet in the grass from the road. when the engine sound grew we were both wanting to move so we didn't get ran over. Sure enough a V3S zoomed by and my friend and I didn't hesitate to get on the road, crouch, aim down our Mosins and try to shoot the driver, but the road cut to the left and trees were blocking the view. My friend had to get off after that but this was an amazing experience.

If the man I killed is reading this then just know I am deeply sorry and I did what I did to live, not die.

"He has the potential to follow us, therefore we must kill him".

If you want to kill people, do it. But please don't make up stupid excuses for why you did it. By your "friend's logic", you should have killed every person you've interacted with so far. If that's your MO, good for you. Own that shit. Kill everybody.

Don't hide behind excuses for killing. You're just throwing flames on the fire. The fire of elitist forum-warriors that will belittle you for not playing the game as they see fit.

If you murder or KOS, and one of those computer-commandos begrudges you for it, you tell em this is dayz, and they can go back to their own god damn game if they don't like it. As a matter of fact, if you ever see their sorry ass around chernarus, they can consider themselves greased too.

Gotta agree with the above post. Sounds like a good experience - but I feel bad that you felt you had to kill the guy considering how easy it is to lose people in the game. Plus he sounded harmless; did he even have a firearm?

Ah well it doesn't matter really - what matters is YOU thought he might be a danger if you let him live and thus had to take action. I only suggest that in the future you consider other options such as running away, forcing him to run away (at gunpoint), KOing him and running away, or simply leaving him be.

Just my opinion but... two mistakes you made. First, telling a guy you'd let him live and then be a douche and kill him. Second, not standing your ground and shooting the truck as it came at you. Shooting it as it drives away is for cowards!

I fail to see what's so amazing about killing a new spawn who, by your words, had nothing.

First of all I had said "if he cooperates". The guy wasn't responding at all, behind his screen he could've been thinking anything. If I said "if you don't try anything I'll let you live" then I would've kept my word and he would still be alive. But he wasn't cooperating. And secondly, if we were stupid, like you, we would've jumped out and shot at the driver head on. If we gotten ran over (like you would've) then what? But that didn't happen, because we were smart. If the road didn't cut to the left and if it wasn't blocked by trees we would've got him, but what does it matter anyways? He didn't know we were there the entire time, that's better than us shooting at him head on, us missing and him getting away, finding another group and telling them about us or something. Or what if he had a group of his own and they tried to track us down? Too many things could've happened If he knew we were there. I appreciate your advice but I, along with everyone reading it, will not follow it, therefore your "advice" is a waste, and because of that, you have no business being here and you should LEAVE. Thank youu!

It was not about the fresh spawn, it was about the car passing by. But I just wanted to share what led up to the car driving by.

Can you even shoot drivers from V3S's yet? I tried didn't seem to work so holding your ground may be a little risky. Just sayin'
