Loot Table.

Recommended Posts

Is't possible for the development team to post a loot table with locations - where items are suppose

to spawn, because 'wiki' is usually not updated - some items have been removed like bipod for mosin and pistol suppressor.

And military tents spawns where, Heli crash sites?

confirmed about the tents at mi17 crashes for sure.

items i would like to know about in order of Importance

MPK-5 OEM buttstock - Srsly why was it removed? AKSU-74 Has one, PM73-RAK has a built in one, but the Mp5 which came first dosent have one anymore and devs will never spill any beans in regards to why it was removed, can we expect to see it come back etc. not to mention the wiki claims its still around, but we know how unreliable that is.

Bipods - I understand removing the bipod from the mosin, But from the AK :( and M4 what a shame. the AKM really needs one if you want to lie Prone and wish to fire more than one shot consecutively otherwise that recoil is hella insane. M4 at least has low recoil to start with.

burlap wrap for mosin no longer works shame because it was the poor mans cammo compiared to the new guillies. but i suppose that was a placeholder.

It's almost like you have to play the game and discover things for yourself.

Won't happen. You have to discover things and because people want to know where they have to search is the reason the loottables are switched around every now and then anyway. You can't possibly know where you're going to find specific items before you actually find them.

It's called game-mechanics.

Why would the devs do that? Where would be the room for exploration?

Not saying you have to find out everything on your own - you can still get information from your fellow players.

It's not even beta version yet so I don't see any harm in it.

I hate lame databases that list stuff .....wait I'll take that back.

DayZ needs to approach how, where and when items spawn a little more intuitively.

Can we please have a game where we can sometimes be a little surprised at what we find and where?

Can we not have such things as lame ass heli crash site guides due to the fact that we have predetermined crash sites in the first place?

Can we please have a little unpredictability to keep this epic game fresh?

This game is on the cutting edge of social interaction and is testimony to certain traits in human behavior. it is what we make it.....to a point.

The DayZ team have a golden opportunity here to make or break this genre. To look beyond the limitations of the old mod and come up with something truly special. Unfortunately, I see a lot of 're-inventing the wheel' here and copying old routines and standards. A little off topic but a good example is the old Ambient Sound loop we constantly hear in game. I would really hope that things like this are replaced with a more basic 'base' sound loop that carries no random clanging sounds or odd creaks, can openning etc that do not actually occur. This makes no sense!!! The engine is more than capable of creating its own sound based on actual in-game events.

Back to the topic. The current loot table can and will be mapped. As it changes people will adjust their databases and provide the info to the public. We now have rudimentary vehicles in game. An already we have a map on where they spawn. Why? I mean I understand why the public sector make these locations public but what about a more dynamic system that calculates vehicle spawn positions from an array of 1000 (rather than 20) possible spawn positions across the map? At least 100 to start with. Why should I know *(after a server restart) where to go to grab a vehicle - or what route to run to find a heli crash - or whatever else DayZ has hard wired into its static code.??!?!??

Deep breath....!

I'm aware things may or may not change as we go along. I am fully aware of what Alpha means. But I'm seeing a certain trend of old processes being held onto and engraved in stone. ....and not looking outside the square. Can we please make DayZ a little less predictable and more of an adventure for new and old players alike ? Please ?

Well, I found one inside the green barack in a millitary camp yesterday, but it was buged and I couldn't pick it up

at all. I don''t think it spawns at two different locations.

Jerry Cans is buged too.

Another issue I would like to point out concerning degradation of items - since not all items are pristine conditions now when you find it.

However, I found a pristine AK-74 at a police station, but the AK-74 Wooden Buttstock and AK-74 Wooden Handguard were badly damaged?

It makes absolutely no sense, either the gun is in excellent conditions or the whole package should be weathered by time and rust etc.

It seems like weapons don't get weathered by time since I always find pristine weapons, but not weapon attachments.

- Water pumps work as intended in patch 51.

- I noticed a small adjustment how much food you need to consume/eat to get healthy.

- You can't black/green spray your Axe anymore in patch 51 - I hope it was meant to change it. The red firefighter axe was most OP which dealt most damage and the only axe you

could spray military green makes absolutely no sense at all concerning balancing related to items. Lastly, if it was a bug - make sure that u can green spray your wooden axe too.

This isn't an MMO like WOW or EQ where there's loot tables and you can know exactly where to find everything. This is the apocalypse, baby!

- (buildings) Barns Dayz me instantly and I died of height damage in patch 51, which only broke your leg earlier in patch 50.

A good advice avoid barns in patch 51, because I ruined my boots when I only slide on the stairs due to lag - it was not even 1 meter fall damage.

I've insta-died on the second floor of red roof barns in 0.47 and 0.48. No more second floors for me. Not new to 0.51 anyway.
