sYdex 1 Posted November 16, 2014 Hi Guys, I bought yesterday the DayZ Standalone and am not able to get it to run.When launching the game from Steam I see the ads in the beginning and then stop at the screen shown below. The 'I Understand' is pulsing between red and white but I am unable to get past that screen. I do have a mouse courser but clicking on I understand doesn't work, it isn't a button. I've verified the integrity of the game cache with no issues, re-installed the game already but leading to the same issue. Specs:CPU: i7 - Ivy - 4930K @ 3.9GhZGPU: GTX 780 - 6gb RAM: 32GB Kingston Hyper - X - BeastMainboard: X79 Asus Deluxe Game is installed on a standard sata hdd. Hmm ok, then it gets tricky hehe.Did you try and run steam as administrator?Have you tried deleting the DayZ folder located in your documents, and resetting all the local settings to default? I havent seen this issue alot, but it might be worth checking out the feedback tracker, if anyone else is having the same issue :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Im very interested in how to solve this, as i havent really seen this "bug" before and it would truly classify as game breaking, in the sense that you cant play at all :)But yeh, try window mode like SmashT suggests. I am unable to click 'I Understand' - I've tried flicking windows back and forth with alt+tab - but also with ctrl+tab (alike flicking between browser tabs) but no joy .. sYdex 1 Posted November 16, 2014 For all it's worth, I modified the DayZ.exe to run in Win 7 compatibility mode. No change.Run the .exe forced in 640 x 480 resolution, in not windowed mode, as well no change. Been trying now back to force with TAB and the arrow keys to see if I can somehow find the button but it appears that the button has completely gone.I've re-installed the game again - and it's still the same. sYdex Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

sYdex 1 Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) Just a thought, change the usb port your mouse is plugged into, and also try another mouse to see if it is mouse issue Did try another port for both, keyboard and mouse, but still the same behavior.I am able to use mouse and keyboard once I am at the described screen, I am able to move the courser - and I'm able to open the steam menu ingame (shift+tab) - I am even able to take screenshots with steam ingame, but I can't click on I agree. Proper frustrating at this point as I am getting no response at all over at http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=18883 neither.. Dunno what to do. I even disabled comodo and my antivirus for a while but nohting.The only thing i didnt try is to uninstall/reinstall Day Z and i wanna fix this problem without doing this.
