Blood trails

Heavy bleeding should create a trail of blood, more visible on certain materials and deteriorates after a certain amount of time depending on the the weather.

With blood bags you could create fake blood trails as bait for gear-thirsty people. You need a sharp object or a pen to break the bag.

Also the bleeding animation shouldn't be as execessive as it is right now.

It would be a fairly neat idea. My only complaint is a sharp object needed to open the bag. It is a little too in depth, right clicking to open it is good enough in my opinion.

You could also state this:

"What is the point of reloading a gun? Let us have unlimited bullets!"

 

It is a feature men - it adds depth to the game like any other feature.

There can be not enough of them actually when it is made authentic/realistic and when it stays true to the game concept.

Not to steal you the show, but the bloodtrails have been in DayZ Mod for >1 year.

Wrote about it in another thread, but anyways, blood stains wouldn't be hard to implement. We had it in SLX mod for ARMA 2 - you would leave blood trails when wounded until you treat the wound.  Basically it would be the same decal spawning under you wherever you go, and how many of these decals would spawn depended on how badly you were wounded.

 

The bloodbag idea sounds awesome.

This has been in the mod for some time, I like it a lot

The point of it is to track a wounded player, like one tracks a wounded animal IRL

The reason I said that you need a sharp object is because you can create a small hole in the blood bag, letting it run I a steady drizzle, while clicking on it would be more like tearing the bloodbag open, letting too much blood out at once.

I understand your point, but I like detail as well.
