Better Bleeding Animation/Particles

Sorry if this has been posted already.

 

For purely aesthetic reasons I would like a less (for lack of a better word) silly looking bleeding animation. It just looks like red puff balls falling out of your pockets when you run. It also looks extra silly when you are bleeding from a bout 2 feet away from your head/arm/butt, ...whatever.

I'm not familiar with the engine and it's capabilities in this regard but I HAVE to believe it could be better implemented.

Yeah it's just placeholder.

 

But the animation isn't the problem...it's the frequency, how does a zombie slapping you make your arm burst open they're not Wolverine...

And like almost every hit sometimes, think the most I've been hit without bleeding, regardless of gear is 5 times before starting to bleed.

 

Currently that it just spurts out like a fountain reduces how annoying it is by being hilarious so I'd hope they fix how often you bleed first :lol:

Damage models need major tweaking for sure. It's just that the silly bleeding takes me out of the emersion every single time. I'm sure it's near the bottom of the list for things they want to change. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

it reminds me of anime films like when someone looses a limb in ninja scroll and it comes roaring out like a water hose.

Right now bleeding seems unrealistic but in fact it is important in term of pvp. It's good to know that somebody is bleeding, that changes everything. Making it better looking will stop you to see that.

I'd like to see a more aesthetically pleasing approach similar to Arma 3. We have the red text to let you know that we're bleeding, I don't think the crazy gushing is necessary at all.
