Ban carry over?

Recommended Posts

That's correct. Old cd-key-based bans from the past (which could have been caused by cd-key theft as well) don't affect other games on the same account.

So you're saying that I wont be banned from Arma 3 and Dayz because of Arma 2 operation arrowhead?

ArmA2/CO or OA are one and the same.

You should be safe.

I swear to you that I never cheated on that game. I received a new key from battle eye but to use it I have to make a new account.

If your ban was before the new rule, then you should be able to play dayz, every ban before the new rule is game specific and not battle eye global.

I was banned sometime around of October of the year 2013. Was I ban before the new rule?

the rule only went active couple of weeks ago, so you should be good.

Although I must agree with the other comments. If your key was stolen you should be asking how did this happen, because if it is unintentional, you should check your PC for keyloggers or spyware.

How exactly can accounts be stolen?

It would take a a thousand hours of randomly guessing passwords to steal a game account, right?

Most bans are for cheating by the original account owners.

My friend had his Origin account stolen. It is not that unusual.
