[Suggestion] Trade UI

Recommended Posts

Simple suggestion - I'd like to see some sort of system to hand an item to a person or get an item from them other than throwing it on the ground.

Just saying, it seems odd that I can't hand things to people directly.

i cant see why they took out the ability to acces player bags until they are unconscious, in mod it was greatly useful for pairs and teams, and not to mention once i managed to sneak up on a guy once when i was fresh spawned, open his bag which had a revolver in it, and kill him with his own gun, the former argument makes sense although the sneaking up stealing gun thing is a bit much as you would clearly need to make sound to open a bag. but still having no option to enter bag invent accept when player is dead or unconscious leading to annoying ground drop trades and stuff is annoying, especially when server lag can lead to your dropped items getting lost in odd places away from where you actually are and sometimes full loss of items altogether.

Rigor, I know you're better than this.

I have seen this on a few different threads and the devs (Dean Hall specifically) stated this would eventually be implemented.

@Ninja_Meh
I'm really happy that we CAN'T access my backpack, mainly if their is nothing that told me that someone is doing that, try to take stuff inside pockets or backpack of someone without warn him about it, and yes their is pickpocket i know but can YOU actually do that ?

I don't think so, it require skill and its not up to everyone, or the game should also include things like those who can find water underground (i can do it irl but not everyone can) or those who can use sound for see as a sonar : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_echolocation#Ben_Underwood
Yes it should NOT be included cause its not up to everyone.

Same as Pickpockets, mainly in this game will all the trolls and kids that just do stupid things...

And that mainly for prevent things like you have done (Fresh spawned one that take weapon from backpack and kill its owner) why ? cause while we are fresh spawned we DON'T care about die, and taking risk its not something that afraid us...

No sound, no stupid bad intrusion or things like this, just leave stuff of others people alone, if you want their stuff, kill them or ask them, i'm part of those who can give their gear just cause i like to share, rather than always kill everyone and steal their stuff, be friendly and they will probably give you.
Mainly now that we can't yet hear properly others player walking, the fact that you will hear the zip sound of the guy 3h after he drop everything off your backpack.

So yes for trade by giving item to player IN HAND only, and ONLY if he accept, cause it will be so easy to give him a grenade otherwise or stupid stuff that will make him having delay before taking his weapon or simply give him something that can't be use in combat just for having him rather than realistically drop it down in less than half a second make him need 5 second for open inventory, click for drop the thing and close the menu and finally get in a combat position, in real life you FEEL when someone put something in your hand, you don't need to open a menu to see it.

But NO for arcade trade based on exchange, just give item to hand.

Lol - you'd be right on most days... didn't get much sleep last night and I'm exhausted right now.  I probably failed horribly at searching and my thought process is likely erratic and just plain wrong.  I should probably avoid making any new topics until tomorrow...

 ;)
