How to get to North West Airfield!

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody, X3picR3aperX here. Let me start off by saying this is my my fourth attempt at posting this, hopefully it doesn't get deleted!!! Okay, back to the topic. This game has been out for sometime now, and the players throughout that time have been gaining much and experience from traveling around the map and creating new ideas. So you would think that everyone knows exactly what to do..The first thing you probably think of when you first spawn is loot!!! Where can you find the best gear. Places like the Fire Station, Police Departments, Jail houses, Military Camps, and last but not least...Airfields B) . They will have some of the best loot you can find. But there's one particular airfield that I want to talk about, the NW Airfield. An airfield that, in my opinion, everyone would want to go to. Why, because it consists of eight hangers, four jail houses, two barracks, and a fire station. Talk about three types of buildings that contain awesome gear, all in one place...But through my time of playing DayZ, NW Airfield was never easy to find. So here's what I'm trying to say, there are still people who don't know how to get there, especially new players  :( . So what I did was I made a video of me traveling to NW Airfield starting from Balota Airfield. Please know that the video is nothing special, just a guide to help people. Here's the video link ----> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pU3YPduWmrE I hope you find this video helpful. P.S. Sorry for that flashy intro LOL

One more, I'm aware that there are maps in this game, and I know there are possibly more helpful things online. But I'm not thinking of the people who know how to read a map, because if you do, then why watch the video. There are people who don't know how to read a map..And that does not mean they are not stupid btw!

*Useless text*

Ok....

1). Don't keep reposting if the admins delete it and tell you to not do it again.

2). We have in-game maps, as well as maps on 3rd party websites that everyone has access to. No need for this.

3). The NWAF has 7 hangers, 4 jail houses, 2 barracks, 1 firestation, and tent city. If you're going to make a guide, have accurate information.

It was deleted before because I kept asking people click the thumbs up on it, and they didn't like that

Also, I never typed "useless text", so I don't know where you're quoting that from

I said that because you have reposted this several times.

I've always been under the distinct impression that there are 8 hangers, 6 lining the east end of the runway and 2 more near the west end. Confirmed both by my own eyes playing this morning, and by the map.

If you're going to correct someone, have accurate information ;) :P (no offense intended just a lighthearted poke).

I'm kinda iffy about the 4th jail house too. It's nearby, but it's outside the airfield/military fence. That's home base for my current operation/quest to kill as many NWAF server hoppers as possible ;)

lulz.

this must be troll.

i skipped through your video. you made a one-hour video without narration and without annotation on how to get to the airfield? no references to starting point, no description of landmarks, you merely whip out the compass occasionally?

this is the most obscene waste of bandwidth and time since the ten hour video of a cat photo humming a bieber song:

I don't have the proper set up so people can hear my voice, also, I'm still somewhat new to making videos. Also, I put in the video description where I started at. The video is just me traveling there. Like I said before, the video is nothing special

Simple.

Find train tracks.

Run north or west on it.

Keep going till you pass train cars and station.

Keep going till you cross a big metal bridge.

Cross bridge then head southwest (prolly into sun).

Run across the big field to the hill you see in the distance.

Reach top of hill and you'll be at the woodland prison which is just north of the nwaf: tent city.

No silly video is necessary.

The video isn't silly..Everyone has their own way of getting to places in the game. And this is my way, and I figured I'd just share it. If you don't like it, that's fine, your opinion is not my problem. But it doesn't give you the right ridicule it.  :P Have nice day  :)

I have hard rule: I don't ridicule videos I've never watched.

Then there's no reason for you to call my video silly, now is there!  ;) Like I said in previous comments. The video is nothing special. And I'll admit, it's not as well put together as other videos are where you can hear the person recording. I'm still new with making videos.

You're absolutely right. 'Silly' is an extraneous word here. In general, I love silly videos!

No hard feelings were intended. I'm not sure a video to get to the nwaf is entirely necessary. I encourage you to keep making videos if you like doing that. Instructional videos are prime bait for criticism so tread carefully.

The reason why I made this video was because one, I never knew how to get there myself. Also, I didn't know of any sites that had special directions on how to get to any places in DayZ. One place I always looked was youtube, so when I couldn't find any videos, I thought maybe I should be the first..  :)  B)   :beans:
