Really? Still this bad?!

It is disgusting because im sure that isnt true...you just fixed the .bpo expoit going off the change log..is that not done through scripting?

By your theory every flying guy, and unlim mag and speed hack is actually a hacker and not a scripter.. Far from an amazing feat!!  If they are all hackers then you guys have a big issue on your end and this would in fact explain why nothing is being done and its always in the state of "Being Worked On"..

I took your advice of leaving for a couple months only to come back to nothing being changed..3k plus hours huh?  and no hacker?  Now thats a feat!!

I will obviously not write up how to .pbo exploit, even though it would only get people banned as of right now, but scripting had nothing to do with it.

But seeing as you refuse to hear what I'm saying I'll just stop trying. Not exactly sure what else you want to hear to be honest.

Just started playing again, and I have to say... more disappointed in this game than I have ever been with any game. There are so many things wrong with the game 7 months into release it's not even funny. Hacking still occurs. Random noises play everywhere you go (lolwut). Zombies glitch through everything. The weapon system is bugged. What has changed since I quit playing 5 months ago? the game has some new items and a cooking system.

So amaze! Much awesome! WOW!

I've been a member of the community and playing DayZ Mod for about 2 years. I can honestly say I have lost faith in DayZ, near completely. The lead developer is abandoning his "pride and joy". Updates, which should be rolling out on a weekly basis, come once a blue moon. And now we have a split community where half has quit, a fourth is hating on it, and the other fourth is in "its an alpha herp derp!" denial.

Why does my opinion matter? It doesn't. I'm just a guy that enjoyed a game and was really excited for its outcome that is now shaking his head in pity and disappointment.

i hear ya...

if someone told me when SA was first announced we would be at this point in the game now all this time later i'd have never beleived it..

one thigns def. clear Rocket doesnt have the vision i thought he had... sooo much feature creep has occured to SA, its a shambles of what even the mod was 2 years ago...

the only saving grace for SA, is hopefully the mod community is given the sourcecode to mod this game into something worth playing...

..//..

an invis hacker...half way up a ladder who is floating right behind me with an infinite m4 clip.....

..//..

..//..

...I stream everytime i play.

..//..

ok dude - instead of the text multiposts, show us the video :

I guess it was the noise or the bullet strikes or something else, made you know an invisible player was floating in the air right behind you.. so whatever you saw or heard.. you can show us. Then we can share.

I'm interested to see the vid of this hacker behind you in the air, who had to shoot at you more than 60 times to kill you - because you know he was using infinite ammo right ? He must have been a really really crap shot, even for an invisible floating hacker.

Good thing you stream every time you play. Show us the video, dude

I've encountered countless amounts of hackers. I've been playing video games long enough to know the difference between hacks and game bugs. To everyone saying "I've played x amount of hours and haven't met a hacker", well good for you. Keep on truckin. But for those of us who run into them frequently, it's a game ruiner. Spend hours gearing up to lose it all to a hacker, and it's pathetic how much of them they are.

I've seen a hacker almost every time I've played DayZ on stable servers in the past couple months, however, after switching to experimental I have not encountered a single hacker.

Just give it a try, ditch the stable and switch to experimental. Cause honestly, wouldn't you rather die from a freak glitch instead of a guy flying around shooting unlimited ammo?

I fail to see how that is disgusting, I'd consider it a bit of an achievement actually. It's been public knowledge ever since scripting was prevented server-side. Which was in January iirc.

You are blowing this out of proportion a bit. I have over 3000 hours played and haven't met a single hacker. Perhaps one or two .pbo exploiters, but I can't be sure of that obviously, and that is also a thing of the past. Hackers sort of go with every multiplayer game. I don't think anyone will ever be able to rid their game of hackers (imo). Rest assured that steps are being taken to improve the game's security against hacks, but it will take time.

If you are not happy about the current state of the game, come back in a month or two.. or maybe once we hit beta.

I agree hackers have NOT ruined this game! In fact they are no more troublesome than a crew of shit flies buzzing around a turd. They have not ruined this game because despite their presence in small numbers the creators have built a game where a player meritocracy exists that is based on the players awareness and ability to take calculated risks to succeed. A game without freebies is rare. Another such game is America's Army if you are out of ammo you better stay low and find some because the tooth fairy isn't going to bring you any just like DayZ.

No, a few hackers can not ruin that concept, they can only irritate the tiny number of players that encounter them. I have an ass load of hours spent playing the game and never encountered a hacker but I think I heard one once spraying 5.56mm ammo endlessly without reloading. My solution was to evacuate the area.

Clearly just because someone has encountered a hacker and been killed and lost his/her stash is no reason to assume that we have a hacking pandemic in progress. And on another note I think there are about two million players so how many hackers would it take to disrupt the game for a significant number of those players? The answer would be AN ASS LOAD.   I have no doubt that over time the influence hackers have on the game will diminish as loopholes are closed and defenses improved.  And that takes time

Hmmm I think I'll end my commentary and play some DayZ and not worry about hackers. What is the worst thing that could happen? I guess that would be  getting killed and starting over. How horrible, I would get to re experience the joy of surviving to build a respectable inventory from nothing.
