Thread in defense of banditry

Recommended Posts

I like how you tell me that 'go play little big planet' is a strawman arguement and without skipping a beat you repeat the same ol cliche strawman arguement 'go play call of duty'. If I could cause you carebears to lose an hour of your time and send you back to start on call of duty I would play it. As it sits this is a post apocalyptic simulator and people like me would be gunning down you weak cry babies all day when law and order breaks down. If you don't like it maybe you should go play CoD. At least when you die ypu wouldn't be flooding this forum with qq threads.

The problem right now is that the huge amount of military loot makes PvP possible. You log on, go to an airfield, gear up on military weapons in a short period of time and then go back to the coast to shoot people. If you had to search for a LRS or an M4 for 10+ hours and the ammo for it would be scarce you might think twice before you unload a full mag into someone. They said military loot will be lowered, so enjoy the abundance of loot while it lasts :)

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind PvP, but it's just to easy to take risks and fight people all the time because gearing up is easy, but it should not be...

I will post only to say how's my playstile and why i do not always kill on sight:

-I do approach to the desire area, through the longest and safest path (woods, less checked area)

-Then i stop before it, and i watch if there's movement inside

-I find a safe place to camp and i stop people if i can do!

But if they are well armed and they point their guns to me i shoot on sight. In particular if they are a well armed military group

I avoid to kill on sight always. Because it's counterproductive and don't allow you to loot stuff because goes ruined.

It's fine for me now as it is, because forces you to play smartly.

People that goes only KOS alway without having any human contact and no roleplay aren't smart on my opinion. I don't mind to really offend someone, but it is a FACT that if you kill one there's no loot for me and no loots for you = Food will finish and servers must restart soon

Nothing stops me. It is my duty to keep players from feeling safe in this game. You could make it kill me each time I shoot someone, and its all I would do.. gear up, kill and respawn. Over and over.

KOS and PvP is the only reason I play this game. I could care less about a treasure hunt-jogging-eating-crafting sim. But I do love me some FPS/TPS.

If I had posted this, I'd get flamed. Haha.

My say on this, is that your  KoS playstyle ruins every chance of proper banditary. Not to mention the fact that if you kill just because you like the know they are starting from scratch, that's neither of these playstyles, it's just being an ass.

Real banditary can come In a veriaty of ways. You can team up with the right group and get them mugged at the right time. You can simply rob people and use their naked living corpse as a bait and you can do tons of other things. Nowdays you can't do anything. This game currently has 2 play styles:

When you see someone- 1. kill. 2. Don't kills, shoo them away.

You people have to start working on your imagination and originality real quick.

How would you describe us then ?

Murderers ?

I kill people in game to ruin their progress I get some satisfaction from knowing they now have to start from scratch. I don't even bother looting their body anymore due to the item damage mechanic i just leave the body there as bait.

Heh, you can gear up in two or three hours and then go to a military thing two or three times and bang you're the man. Especially in a low pop servers, not sure if you understand the point of this game.

Why are we even arguing about this anymore? As soon as the bandit/hero system is implemented from the mod, anybody with bandit skins/gear/labels is going to get brutally KOS'd by everyone that isn't a bandit.

Thank god its not gonna be implemented as far as i know

Yeah. Implementing skins would be kind of pointless with the whole changeable clothing thing that the game has now. It would be a major step back in terms of character customization.

Actually I agree with you. I think they should only have melee weapons and pistols on the coast. They should make military weapons extremely rare and only at spots that take a very long time to get to. As it sits you spawn pretty close to NEAF, and regardless you can find military gear in the city you spawn in if it is underpopulated.

To the person who said there is no imagination among bandits you are wrong. I capture people and do a lot of funny things to them to amuse myself. Shooting people constantly gets boring for almost everyone. You want to see bad KoS go play Nether. That's where they have lack of imagination. Most people I have teamed up with I met in game, even being an asshole. You guys make this KoS out to be way worse than what it is. These threads are nothing but ragefests from people who hug pixels and can't take losing gear.
