Magazines are too hard to find

Mags belong in the gun as much as the barrel does. Guns don't get left behind without their mag, though mags can be left without the gun.

I would even be okay with the devs reducing the amount of ammo spawned in the map as long as each gun comes with a mag (empty or otherwise).

You sir are either the luckiest man alive, or you are on a very low traffic server. I tend to play on packed servers, so mags are nowhere to be found (Yes even up north).

We always play on poupalated servers (what's the meaning on play alone with your group on a empty server? O_o) Try to move a bit inland when you are looking for military equip and stop looking for magazines in cherno, electro, berezino and svetlo where 30 on 40 players are and you will easly get our same charm, you will also find all the usless 9mm magazines and the 1911 ones we usually trow away :D

Considering that the town names are in RUSSIAN I think it's a safe bet that the game is meant to be set in Russia whether the area of Russia is fictional or not; And also, wtf is wrong with me trying to add a bit of humor to the damn post? They should still spawn at least some magazines in the towns. It just feels a bit unbalanced to have literally all of the good gear in the military bases of which many are guarded by groups of player who tend to kos.

I agree that pistol magazines should be way, way more common. Sporter magazines too. Only ever found one sporter mag. I usually don't even bother picking sporters up since SKSs and Mosins are so much better.

well nothing could be worse than Obama, and I highly doubt that the next candidates will be much better. Also if you examine my profile picture closely you will get your answer :D

 

P.S. (Yes he is a mormon, but from the way my mormon friend explained it to me, it's pretty much the same as being baptist except that they also have the book of mormon. And also they no longer practice poligamy so that's good lol.)

They spawn also in towns (fire station, police station, office building, schools) and now that we've also yellow police station you can find a M4 with related magazine in few time.. The problem while playing in populated servers is that usually someone has already got useful things, so you still need to go a bit inland. Small cities like Gorka, Dolina, Staroye, Sobor are easy to reach in few mins and have loads of military-kind loots (and magazine also)

Magazines should come in the gun 80% of the time. It's absurd that they do not. Add to this the models in game being small and blending with the textures and also clipping into the ground - It makes it silly hard to find magazines.

 I hope you weren't being a sarcastic douche there, it's worthwhile information to you when you're talking about the game.

As it stands I agree completely, it's more realistic to have guns with their magazines, unless the zombie apocalypse included the Gun Fairy who flew around liberating dead owners' guns from their magazines and scattering those magazines around the floors of military tents in Balota.

When you finally find a gun, you shouldn't have the disappointment of "oh no magazine" more than, say, one in six times?

Sporter mags spawning primarily in military buildings isn't cutting it.

As someone in the Military I can tell you that there are always an abundance of magazines floating around. Also most military training teaches shooters to simply drop the empty magazine on a rapid reload rather than retain it. Empty magazines should be found on the streets and at checkpoints and would reward players for looking though rubble and junk.

I think it should be hard to find mags, and particularly ones in good condition. Gearing up to quickly takes the joy out of the game (considering that at present essentially all character development is based on collecting gear).

I was given an SKS for my 16th birthday. Is this some sort of joke? No wait, that was 18th. I think. Maybe it was 16th? Somewhere in there was a fine pellet rifle by RWS.

The magazines should be stored into the gun, next to the gun, or in a holster made for the gun with both in it. Only in the armory are they separate, and the game doesn't include an armory. Rocket said they won't be stored together in the armory, but as I said, there isn't one. The police station has some rooms that look like they could be them, but police procedure is different from military procedure.
