Hi, I recently went to start up my new Arma 2: DayZ Mod which I just installed on my new PC and it had told me I have a bad setup key?

Any help would be perfect, Thanks.

 

I asked Steam Support and they directed me here so anything may be an advancement.

 

I am not very good with technology therefore don't be sending me with massive instructions to follow, Break it down and make it simple please.

Did you purchase arma 2 and operation arrowhead and run both games to the menu before you installed dayz?

Do that.

Then download dayz commander and have it update everything.

I purchased them on steam and bought a new PC so, I did everything I did on my old Pc but it said, Old setup Key?

What is the exact error you're getting, and when? Describe step by step on what you're doing, and the exact error you receive.

close steam

start steam in admin (right click and run as administrator) 

right click on arma2 and properties then local files 

click on verify integrity of game cache

 

and do the same for arma2 oa

 

run arma2 to the menu 

run arma2 oa  to the menu  

click in expansions  

make sure the following are enabled 

 

arma2

arma2 oa 

arma2 baf lite

arma2 pmc lite

 

if not enable them and restart then exit the game 

 

Then install the beta version and the mod
