Cablecars

Recommended Posts

I suggest we implement cablecars/skilifts connecting several mountain regions in Chernarus with each other.

The only problem i see with my idea,is the lack of electricity.Maybe it can be solved with placing a gasoline

generator in order for them to run, leaving it up to the players to provide the nesecary fuel.Is it a viable idea?

What do you think?

I doubt anyone would use them in fear of being sniper bait. That or someone would cut the power when they're halfway there so they are stuck (unless it just slowly descends to the platform).

This is a silly idea firstly as you said no power but gas would not suffice the amount of power need, secondly there arent many big mountains and there not near eachother, third its not in real life chernarus, finaly no one would use them

I think this is a great idea!

You can add bullet proof glass (making the windows small and after they add more building and crafting)

The powering is a little 'iffy but other than that I like it, you have my beans.

Hmmm...i personally have found myself many times, jogging circling around the slopes trying to find the road leading to the nearest village/town.I would be eager to sacrifice my feeling of security for the sake of traveling faster and shortcutting to the desired location, but that's just me.

Edit:Oh,so i see it has already been suggested, that's odd.I used the search function but i didn't find your topic.

I fear you would get campers at the top or bottom of these cablecars.  It would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

As a landmark: sure

As a moveble object: not realy a good idea

This would be AWESOME If we could zip line down into the middle of a city while passing over it in the cablecar... I've played too much Just Cause...

... Dayz should be implementing something to make it more unrealistic to camp in "cold" areas. Just so the mountain areas ( the "mountains" aka huge hills in chernarus) could become realistic "dangerous places" to be .

In real life people would most likely be avoiding (and not camping) the snowy mountains at all cost , so if somebody wanted to waste their gas on a generator to make the ski lifts work to get up the mountain to create an isolated base , all the power to them and I think it would be an awesomely fun place to have a firefight for a base or Loot or just for fun .

Imagine getting stuck in the lift halfway up the mountain to your snowy hideout because some bandito stops the generator. you snipe his ass with your moisin (spray painted black to show you're not afraid , long range scope of course ) but now you have to radio (team speak?) your friend whos down south a ways to come activate the generator again so you don't have to die of starvation in your ski lift of death .

Long story short I like this idea if the developers were to ever create a snowy ski lift area. Beans to you for making me write three + paragraphs in yhe morning sir .
