Deer Stands - Been to 30 of them, never seen a weapon

I read somewhere that deer stands sometimes have a rifle.

Ok, I'm new to the game but been to many deer stands, 30 at least and never found anything.

 

Has anyone seen weapons there? Or anything else for that matter?

 

Or is that only in the MOD version and not the standalone version that you may find a weapon?

Deer stands atm does not have any loot.

Afaik, loot doesn't spawn in deer stands _yet_. Just like the loot spawns in some of the buildings are broken/not implemented. I'm pretty sure, they will eventually spawn stuff.

I used to be afraid of the stairs and ladders after losing like 3 or 4 fully-geared characters, but for the last couple of days it seems that ladders and stairs are working pretty smooth for me.

I won't ever bother going up inside a deer stand (until the next update, the one after that, etc.)

That's how they get you. They gain your trust and then suddently eat all of your beanzz.

Seems to me that the mod spawn locations suck now. Must want us testing the new spawn locations.

I hope loot never spawns in deer stands. Its a deer stand. I do wish more high end loot would randomly spawn in remote locations more and more logical, but predicatble location like air bases, less.
