Can I die from rotten fruit?

I ate a rotten fruit that I thought was fine but it made me sick and I was wondering if that would kill me and if so what can I get to stop it?

Umm, I think that you'll need to go to a hospital and find something and if you don't get there soon :( . Just remember in the future that you shouldn't eat rotten stuff.

However, i ate both some Charcoal Tabs, and the symptoms stopped flashing up, but i possibly sorta mighta fell off a balcony and died before i could tell if i was cured or not..

Why do you die from eating rotten fruit in the first place? First thing that would happen is it comes out the same way it came in you will feel miserable for some time and then everything is fine.

Rotten food needs to change, it should be a chance you get sick and you shoulden't loose blood from it only maybe start to look blurry or something, maybe have your character actully vomit.

hmm, just looking at that one page i can see the wiki is as bad as ever, lots of the info on there only relates to the mod, most functions in the game are totally different now.

Food poisoning has up to six stages, depending on the severity of the poisoning. The most likely source of poisoning is from eating rotten fruit, which has a 50% chance of minor poisoning, and a 5% chance of moderate poisoning. Alcohol tinctures have a 75% and 20% chance for minor and minor food poisoning.

Rotten fruit exists because if you are hungry enough, risking sickness is better than the empty stomach for a while.

If you are just unlucky to not be finding any edible treats, your options start to dwindle quickly, and the bad fruit gets eaten.

Thanks for the tip on the charcoal tabs. I assumed that was for purifying water.

Tangent: I was holding the disinfecting spray, and had an option to Drink. Not falling for that one!

It does seem a bit over the top. In real life you definitely would pas out from it, let alone die.
