Battlefield Hardline also has several unlocks (or rewards) where you have to solve puzzles to get them.
Generally the rewards aren't that great, but it's a lot of fun solving the puzzles... a game within a game.
I just hope that if DayZ implements something like this, it's done in a way that I can fix it on my own since I don't have any friends/playmates in DayZ
But it is also true that when more people are needed to solve a puzzle, there are also players willing to help who you don't know and in other countries... not everyone tries to cheat you (many do, however... :-P)

Static gas zones should guarantee a m4a1, VSD, AUG, attachments etc but that shouldn't be the only way of the getting them, they should be very rare in military bases. The reason for this is I cant remember the last time i killed someone who had one of these weapons, i don't think many people are really committed to gathering all these items after 6 hrs+ of gathering the NBC items just to die to a basic gun that someone found within a hour. Most people ive spoken to have run it once and never again because it is too time consuming. This isn't healthy for the game and locking away the fun items just makes the game tedious. Also most people cheese the rifi static zone by running in as a fresh spawn and grabbing an m4 and then re spawning. M4A1- If you do consider this, nerf the m4a1's fire rate, it would be and is OP. The most popular DayZ server on PC has these gas zones turned off, that should tell you something.

There are like two Main menu screens out of the entirety of Chernarus, add more. Maybe some where you character isnt in a city or a military base but in the woods or outside of a gas station or on the beach etc. Some variety would be nice.
